Target Lines Up Jean Paul Gaultier —Confirming rumors that have been circulating for the past month, Jean Paul Gaultier has signed on for the next installment of Target’s Designer Collaborations, following in the footsteps of Alexander McQueen and Anna Sui. His collection, set to be available March 7 through April 11, “pays tribute to the American woman, celebrating the forces of style both past and present in American pop culture,” according to Target. So excited, although I’ve yet to see anything from McQueen at Target. Can’t WAIT for those to hit stores.

So, I’m finally getting around to posting the photos from (my favorite designer!) Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2010 Collection shown in Paris. The show opened with a video of a topless Raquel Zimmermann writhing in the sand with snakes. What a way to start! I’ve been reading how some models wore prosthetics around their eyes to make them look like aliens, and they took three hours to apply.

The ten inch shoes stole the show, 2nd had to be the fascinating hair and makeup. I’m so amazed by the shoes, and how the models worked it effortlessly.

Breathless!

My favorite designer Alexander McQueen struck gold again in this recent Paris Fashion Show. Lady Gaga also debuted her new single “Bad Romance” while the show was going on. Love the song, love the clothes, love the insane shoes. Amazing job, McQueen.

In anticipation of the Burton retrospective that is coming to the New York Museum of Modern Art in November, Fashion giant Harper’s Bazaar asked Director Tim Burton to dream up his fantasy fashion spread, one that is inspired by his own dark and magical movies. I love this spread, no one does these kind of looks quite like Burton. My boyfriend is obsessed with his films, and he has gotten me hooked. Doesn’t hurt that Johnny Depp is in the majority of his films! Everyone loves Depp, right? Here are the photos, the 2nd look is my favorite. I’m a sucker for Jack. Photographs by Tim Walker.
