Angelina Jolie: Gorgeous in Red at the Tree of Life LA Premiere

Angelina Jolie + Red Dress = Something pretty spectacular!

Angelina Jolie joined partner Brad Pitt at the Tree of Life LA Premiere, wearing a dress by British designer Jenny Packham. – and the designer told us this morning that she was a perfect ambassador for the brand.

According to British Vogue, the designer was very pleased. “I loved the simplicity of the styling,” Packham said. “When I designed this dress, the focus was the colour. It is a vibrant flame red with a soft orange hue. Perfect for the summer. I always think Angelina dresses with sophistication and elegance. She epitomises Hollywood glamour and her style is reminiscent of Hollywood starlets of the Thirties.”

Angelina Jolie, Louis Vuitton on One Arm and Brad Pitt on the Other: Winning!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

I have a strange confession to make. I could look at pictures of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and their precious children all day. They’re like our country’s royalty and I, like a lot of people, find them to be fascinating.

In these pictures, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were shopping for Shiloh’s birthday party (she turns 5 this Friday – hard to believe she’s already 5!).

Another confession: I’m so obsessed with handbags that the first thing I spotted in this picture wasn’t man beast Brad Pitt… it was the bag beast: Louis Vuitton!  Click the picture above for a closer look at the sexiness… and I mean Brad Pitt this time.

Angelina Jolie, Glamorous in a Shrug Sweater

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie, pictured above, attended a photocall for “The Tourist” back in December – looking as glamorous and gorgeous as ever. She wore a cream-colored, soft angora shrug sweater over her traditional black.

The beautiful mom, actress and humanitarian pulled her hair back – showcasing her flawless face.  Always a good move!

What’s Beautiful Now – From Allure Magazine

Angelina Jolie

It’s hard to believe that Allure Magazine (a personal favorite) has been around for 20 years! For the upcoming March twentieth-anniversary issue (on stands February 22), Allure conducted a beauty survey of 2,000 women and men, taking a peek into the minds of the average American to see how beauty perceptions and preferences have changed over the past 20 years. It examines the face of American beauty and what we as a culture find attractive. The results indicate a shift in the features we find beautiful and shows that cultural desires have changed – perhaps forever.

Allure conducted their first beauty survey back in 1991,  and Christie Brinkley was considered to have the ideal, all-American look with her blond hair, blue eyes, slim figure, and soft features.  The new survey shows that Angelina Jolie is our beauty icon today with her gorgeous dark hair, intelligence, exotic features and humanitarian lifestyle. Men and women, alike, show a passion for strength and intelligence – in addition to beauty.

Additional findings include:

Celebrity Ideals

  • Both men and women both list Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds, Matthew McConaughey, Harrison Ford, and Hugh Jackman in their top picks for most beautiful males.
  • Both men and women both Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Megan Fox, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, and Jessica Alba in their top picks for most beautiful female.

Beauty Preferences

  • 64% think women of mixed race represent the epitome of beauty.
  • 70% of those who wish to change their skin color wanted it to be darker – this was pronounced among women.
  • 74% of those surveyed believe that a curvier body type is more appealing now than it has been over the past ten years.
  • 69% of survey respondents believe there is no such thing as an “all-American look.”
  • 85% of those surveyed believe that increased diversity in this country has changed what people consider beautiful.

Racial Differences

  • African-American and Hispanic women are twice as likely as Caucasian women to report not wanting to change their body in any way.
  • African-American and Hispanic women are more likely than Caucasian women to feel they’re more attractive than their significant other.
  • A third of African-American women think of themselves as the most attractive person in the room.
  • African-American and Hispanic men are nearly twice as likely as Caucasian men to say the butt is among the most attractive features of a woman.
  • African-American men are directionally more likely to embrace and aspire to curviness – they say they want curvier hips and a higher/rounder butt or a larger butt.
  • African-American women are least likely to be on a diet/watch their weight.

The Age Factor

  • The younger the male respondent, the more likely he is to agree with the statement “Cougars are hot.”
  • 86% of everyone surveyed think that middle-aged women of today are perceived as more attractive than they were two decades ago.

Angelina Jolie Teams with Robert Procop for Jewelry Line

The always ethereal and beautiful Angelina Jolie has teamed with Robert Procop for a new jewelry line. Naturally, as you’d expect with Angelina Jolie, the proceeds will go toward helping children in need – specifically the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.

How cool would it be if all celebrities devoted their lives to helping others…  suffice to say the world would be a better place.

The charitable actress has designed a collection with statement stones for Robert Procop Exceptional Jewels and wore one of the pieces – a faceted black spinel necklace bezel set in rose gold – to the Berlin premiere of her exceptional movie ‘Salt’ earlier this year.

Robert – a former Asprey’s chief executive who has designed for the actress for 10 years – was quoted as saying, “Angelina has very classic style. These are pieces she wears herself.”

Pieces from the collection – which will be priced individually – will be sold privately through the designer’s network of clients, with all proceeds going to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, a charity co-founded by the ‘Changeling’ actress that aims to help children who are the victims of war and natural disasters.

Last year, Brad and Angelina created a gold and silver collection for upmarket jeweller Asprey, with all profits, of course, donated to the charity.

The capsule collection, entitled The Protector, also included baby gifts such as egg cups and silver spoons, and was inspired by snakes.

Speaking about the charity, Angelina Jolie said: “These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place – to just be children. Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school.”

No doubt this jewelry line will be just like Angelina Jolie, herself: Gorgeous and very giving.
