Always use hot water. Not only will it soften the hair, but opens pores and relaxes the skin
Shave against the direction the hair grows. Place the razor at the base of your ankle and pull gently up the entire length of the leg, in one smooth stroke
Use a sharp, clean blade. Beware of those old razors you continue to re-use in your shower
Be gentle! Avoid applying too much pressure on your razor causes that nasty razor burn
Dont forget to rinse the razor often or it will get clogged, and not work properly
A tanned look completes the package for many people. It is important for some to make sure that they have a bronzed look all the time. There are many options available for getting the tanned look. Here are the top five choices. Try them out and see what gives you the best looking tan.
1. Tanning beds. This is a good way to get tanned if lying out is not convenient for you. You could even get a home tanning bed for added convenience.
2. Spray-tanning. This refers to tanning in a machine like Mystique Tan or Versa Spa. It is a sunless option. If you are high-risk for skin cancer, this is a great tanning choice. I prefer the Versa Spa over Mystique Tan.
3. Air-brush tan. This requires a professional to spray you by hand. This can have great results, however it can be awkward. Typically, this is a good option if you have had bad experiences in a spray-tanning booth.
4. Outdoor tanning. This is pretty old school isn’t it? Lying out in the sun with a good book is one of my favorite things to do. However, you have to lie out for a long time to get any results. You are dependent on the weather and the solar schedule. For some people, this is just not an option that is available.
5. Self-tanner. These products can be very cheap or very expensive. It is a great, fast way to get a tanned look. You can tan just your legs if they have not gotten enough sun lately. However, it is a special technique to do this without getting streaks and orange hands and joints.
Each option has its own pros and cons to them. It is important for you to figure out what is best for you. For some people, they are at high risk for skin cancer and need to avoid UV rays. Some people will only burn in the sun and will never tan. These people can only choose from sunless tanning options.
For most, it is a combination of these activities that give them the prime look. If you only use self-tanner, it will not look natural and can begin to look strange. However, sunless tanning options combined with tanning beds or lying out can provide a bronzed look with minimal UV exposure.
