Maybelline The Rocket Mascara – Review

I finally picked up the very popular “The Rocket” Mascara by Maybelline this week! It’s a favorite of a lot of youtube beauty gurus, so I thought I would give it a try. I’ll let you know how I like it later on in the post! In early May I had bought the L’Oreal Paris Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black.. and I just thought it was kind of wet and didn’t really separate my lashes or give them much volume. It was so messy for me! I am a die-hard fan of the original L’oreal Voluminous Mascara though, its one of my holy grail products. So if you haven’t tried that, I would recommend it! Before that I had the CoverGirl Clump Crusher in Very Black (or just regular Black, I don’t remember).. and I loved it, but it seemed to go really fast. Maybe I just use a lot of mascara? hahaha. I would probably repurchase it, though. I loved the green brush, it separated the lashes nicely.

Anyway, on to my review of “The Rocket” Mascara by Maybelline!

Maybelline - The Rocket Mascara

I really love it! Its great for length, volume, curl, and seperation. Its a pretty heavy formula though so if you’re looking for a natural eye.. this isn’t your mascara, I don’t think. It dried so much faster than I was expecting, too. I thought it would be wet for 5-8 minutes, but nope! There are tons of great demo’s on youtube, so be sure to go see how it looks on if you want to.

Sally Hansen Coral Reef Nail Polish!

I finally picked up a beautiful nail polish that I’ve been wanting for awhile now, which is Sally Hansen’s ‘Coral Reef’. It’s lived up to the hype about it! I love the coral pinky color, very bright. Only takes one coat to get fully opaque for me. I used my Rejuvacote Nail Growth System first, then the ‘Coral Reef’, and finished it off with my favorite top coat right now.. the Creative Nail Super Shiney Top Coat.

It’s really pretty so I’m very happy to have it. It’s a great choice for Spring/Summer, I think I’ll get a lot of use out of it.

My Nails of the Day!

Here’s how my nails look currently (my natural nails, btw). I used Zoya Nail Polish in Raven with the Creative Nail Super Shiney Top Coat.

To get them to the length that they are I use the Rejuvacote Nail Growth System. They haven’t been this long in years so I think the combination of the Rejuvacote, the Top Coat, and a regular use of Biotin have been extremely helpful in growing my nails out, FINALLY! Make sure you apply the nail growth system every day to help your nails grow extra fast. It dries pretty quick, so I thought that was nice! I’m in the process of trying to get all my nails into a nice square shape since that’s my favorite, so I’ll keep posting photos of my progress. Let me know if you have any helpful tips for healthy, beautiful nails!

Most Wanted Polish: Essie In the Cab-ana

I thought I’d do a fun little update about the Nail Polish that I most want right now.. which is Essie’s In the Cab-ana. It’s from their Resort 2013 Collection, and its just a beautiful color described as “Aqua azure”. I’ve read lots of people say that the formula is great. I’m hoping it’s as great as the formula and color of Essie’s Mojito Madness from the 2012 Summer Collection. It’s probably my favorite Essie polish ever, so I’m excited to try more of them!

The other Polishes in the Collection are First Timer, Come Here!, and Under Where?. They are also BEAUTIFUL, and I hope I can get my hands on all of them. If I get them I will upload swatches and how they look on my nails, so stay tuned for that.

BTW – They are cheaper right now on Amazon then they are in stores! I’ll link them below:

The Beauty Blender – Review

I finally was able to get my hands on the Beauty Blender this month, and I’m really happy I did! I’ve always wanted it, and it really lived up to my expectations. I never want to apply my foundation without it. It honestly makes a huge difference in the way the foundation looks and stays on your face. Plus its very simple to clean. There’s a reason why it has such rave reviews from youtube beauty gurus and on amazon.com and other websites. It’s REALLY good. If you don’t know what the Beauty Blender is, its “The Ultimate Make-Up Sponge Applicator”. There are NO dupes that I’ve found that are as good. There’s something about the way the Beauty Blender is made, and how it just kind of bounces off your skin when using it.. it feels fantastic. I highly recommend buying one, its worth the investment!
